Hello, I'm Beto, and I'm a racer.

And, by racer, I mean: I've got a miata in my garage, and I'm into autocross. So, a racer. It really doesn't take much (and now you also get why clueless racer).

About two years ago I decided I was going to get into motorsports, something I've always wanted to do but somehow never had the energy or time, or perhaps simply lacked the initiative to do. A big part of it was not really knowing where to begin.

After a year or so of research I decided to get a Mazda MX-5 (the answer is always miata) and just go from there. Once I took that first step I came to realize that getting into motorsports is really not that complicated. It just seemed so, to me, because the resources I happened upon were generally for folks already involved in the hobby.

And that's why I decided to start this site. I want to to record my steps as I progress through this hobby, and maybe what I learn and write in here will be useful and helpful to others that are still outside looking in.

This site is dedicated to those who participate in amateur motorsports, but mostly to those who, like me, want to or are in the process of trying to figure out how to pull it off.
